Podcast #860:

The idea behind Konnected is pretty great: It works as a bridge to connect your traditional wired alarm system to your smart / home automation system. We have a good friend, Rod, of prior Blu-ray Review fame for those who remember them, who has used Konnected. We were able to get him to join Ara to share his experience with it on the podcast.

One of the best parts of using the Konnected security system with smart things
is that it can trigger smartthings actions with reporting on
a wall mounted tablet when using Action tiles

This combo allows the less technical family members
to operate the system. It also pulls together home
automation, security and fire and water monitoring in
one place.

Additional wireless monitors may be used along
with connected and they all report through
smart things and are visible on the wall
mounted tablet
