Is there a podcast feed for the calibration corner?
It's not part of the main feed.

Hi Jerry,

You can use the news feed. It will pick up any embedded audio

Awesome! Really happy to see this!

One thing though - it really does need to be part of the iTunes feed. Lots of people do not come to the website - they just rely on their podcast subscriptions. EVERYBODY needs to hear this, so please, make it part of the regular HDTV Podcast feed!

Hello All,
I have to say that I am sorry that at times I sound like I am rambling...I really need to get over the nerves.

Thanks

It's no worries, Ray!

You're likely a much harsher critic of yourself. We're hearing it for the first time, whereas you're hearing it in hindsight and thinking of all the ways you might have spoken differently ;)

Sounds great to me!

And practice is the best cure for nerves, so please, let's have many more of these podcast specials! I love this topic and I REALLY love the information and education that you bring to us lowly, uninformed enthusiasts :D

Please keep up the great work, and I really am looking forward to hearing many more Calibration Corner episodes!

This is great. I'm a newbie to calibration and looking forward to learning from you Ray.
And yes it would be nice if this was part of the Itunes feed but not a biggie.
I'm an avid fan of the ht guys and now probably of the new Calibration Corner episodes.

Ara and Ray - Thanks a bunch for answering my questions in the podcast. After listening to it tonight, I decided to dig further into the Spears and Munsil contrast pattern and found the following posts on avsforum - http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1240153

After reading this fairly exhaustive 17 pages, it actually appears that my contrast setting is set too low - as in the end, most were saying that we should be calibrating max white up to 240, where I had previously been calibrating up to 254. This, in turn, really changes my gamma up in the 90 range for sure. I'm still leaning towards my problem being mostly with the sensor reading that range incorrectly. As I have a front projector, we are of course always looking for ways to add to the contrast ratio and increase the dynamic range of the image and add lumens. I'm going to try and re-calibrate with the 240 contrast max and see what happens. Thanks again for the help! Love the new show!

Okay, I may be a pure noob on this but how do I use iTunes to add this to my Pocast selections?

"And if you want all the audio from future postings to the "News and More" section please use the following RSS feed in your podcast aggregator likeiTunes (http://hdtvpodcast.squarespace.com/news/rss.xml)."

Hi Nelson,

In iTunes go to the "Advanced" menu item and select "Subscribe to Podcast..." Paste the url from the email or this one "http://www.htguys.com/news/rss.xml" into the dialog box and you should be good to go!
